Part of embracing all is spending time and connecting with one another in fellowship, fun, study, sharing, and service. Sunday mornings, we have a Bible study at 9a that is open to all and then a fellowship time before the service in the Parlor at 10:00 until 10:30. There are also other opportunities that take place throughout the year!

In Lent 2023, we will be centering upon the Lent that we actually have – inspired by the word of Dr. Kate Bowler. Each week will be centered on a different sense of blessing – a bit like the beatitudes… Blessed are…Blessed are… but it is about recognizing where and who we are right now and seeking to bless those spaces and see Jesus in and through them.

You can participate in this Lenten practice in a variety of ways:

In Worship – This will be what we will be centering upon in our worship services. So be a part of worship in person or online.

In Small Groups – Our small groups (Sunday morning at 9a, Tuesdays at noon, Wednesdays on zoom at 3:30) will be using a devotional guide written by Dr. Bowler as we explore these themes in both discussion and in practice. We will also have a special Lenten small group that will meet at Ft Thomas Coffee each Wednesday night at 7 starting on March 1.

On Your Own – You can download a daily devotional which begins with Ash Wednesday, February 22. Each day is around this same sense of blessing this season we actually have. You can download the devotional at the link immediately below.

You can also sign up for daily emails of the devotional by clicking here

You can also purchase Dr Bowler’s book of blessings which will supplement the devotional but it is definitely not required for the devotional. Click here to purchase from Bookstore.com. You can also find it at local booksellers or other online retailers.
